Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

This is surreal.

I join meeting after meeting and hear either directly or indirectly from various groups (risk, tech, reporting etc…) “x is broken and we don’t care” “this is not working but its ok, we don’t care” . When reported to one of the reporting groups that the data in the report is wrong “we don’t care, we aren’t going to fix it anytime soon”.

The company as a whole has given up. Doing the bare minimum at the slowest pace. Working just hard enough to keep from getting fired. Everybody is just waiting around for Jane to finish up on selling off bits and pieces of the company to see where they end up at.

BAU.
I was told by my manager I work for him - not for Citi as company. If another team has issues I should not be involved. I have to do only tasks I assigned - do not care about business ruins.

You are absolutely right. There's no budget to fix systems. Processes are disjointed. Too many half assed policies and procedures that conflict with other policies and procedures. Nobody cares, so why do we still have all these useless leaders on payroll?
