M&R layoffs/restructuring

I am guessing another round of layoffs/restructuring is coming in July based on some things I’m hearing. Does anyone have insight to share?

I’ve been slowly getting information on the original post since it’s been posted.

The staff ranking is a yearly meeting that is done to basically see if anyone has leadership potential or interest. Honestly, the person who I spoke to, who attended, said that some people were only given 2 min to talk about an entire team. They are not basing layoffs off of this.

The other item, a manager I spoke to didn’t know anything about it and did not have this meeting on her calendar. There is some info on sparq that talks about ECP, but it doesn’t seem to be layoff related as well.

I know they are slowly hiring contractors as FTEs, i wonder if this might be related to that?

M&R is in a weird place. We get rave reviews based off our numbers, but sometimes I guess we have to pick up the slack for others.

This is honestly my biggest fear. The position I am in now, I applied to it specifically because I have been in the workforce long enough to know my strengths and weaknesses and my currently position utilizes all my strengths. To be thrown in some random (and quite often downgraded) position makes me physically ill to think about. "Hey! We know you told us in your original interview this, that, and the other are areas you don't excel in. GUESS WHAT? :)"

40 people from other departments are being transferred to Utilization Management. I started 3 weeks ago, now I have to learn how to do a completely different role and I wasn’t even told why I’m being transferred. None of us were.
