A NEW Day in Sales - Legacy Cisco Sales AVPs, ODs and RMs are history

Someone like GS is long overdue. He is going to be the change in sales that is needed with so many of these old school AVPs, ODs, and RMs that can only manage a spreadsheet and can’t lead nor inspire their teams to actually sell. Sellers are tired of their AVP, OD, and RM brow beating them and saying their typical cliches.

Networking is down largely because SP has been struggling and as someone who works in EN sales the backlog situation is no joke

Customers are constantly closing offices but still have tons of our switches and access points sitting in storage

We’re losing to juniper mist here and there too mostly when we don’t pitch Meraki upfront

With revenues down 13% it’s going to take some turnaround.
Networking segment is down a massive 27%.
If you take out the Splunk revenue Security only grew 3%.
Observability has grown well but it’s such a small part of our overall number.
As revenue decreases there will need to be even more belt tightening, except of course for the ELT, who will continue to give themselves huge bonuses whilst jetting off around the globe.
