It's like their job is to sleazily siphon money up to the current majority shareholders.

Surely you mean all those H1B visas that IBM and AK will be applying to get for the Indian Developers who can be inept and incapable. IBM HR has been most resourceful when it comes to targeting and outsourcing US developer jobs, but not US executive jobs starting with AK and his lackey senior VPs.

AK and JG will likely create 1000 new jobs for AI in Ireland after the next round of layoffs, but none for humans. Then AK will transfer the AI jobs to India to display his patriotism and loyalty. Why does no CxO explain clearly why AI cannot do their jobs more efficiently than they currently do ? Consider JK, AK and JG who get paid huge sums of money and bonuses for providing little or no value to anyone in any company. ChatGPT could do their jobs for a fraction of the price and give shareholders a much needed bonus rather than the miserly 1c dividend increase per share that the geriatric filled IBM board gives out every year - AK and JK are nothing if not cheap. Why not give it to employees and investors who do more for the company that they do ?
Dejavu, they opened big number positions few years ago in Ireland. Then those positions were closed overnight(after filling just a part)
Just because they create 800 roles, doesn't mean they don't fire 900.
