HOU150 damage

I just saw some pictures on the news of HOU150 downtown Houston. Looks like there was heavy damaged by the recent storms. Hope that everyone is safe!

Back to 1600. That’ll happen before any move outside downtown.

Yes it’s badly damaged. But we’ll be back soon. And not in the energy corridor you losers.

Hopefully that's trolling. Is 1500 really that damaged?

I hear we are going to sublease space outside of downtown for the remainder of the year for all 1500 employees. Still down to a few candidate sites but likely to be in Energy Cooridor.

No virtue signaling at all. Some folks don't like to always have to carry the load of deadbeats, I'll give you that. And there's plenty of them recently. And growing.

No post goes without some virtue signaling from the Work from home pa----s and the work from office hardcases. Thankyou for your service being in the office at 6pm.

I checked this board just for fun, to see what people here were saying about the storm. I was actually in 1400. Not a pretty sight. Of course nobody who frequents this board was in the office at the time (~6pm). Of course only the OP offered any positive connotation to their comments. Some of you are totally out of touch. It’s disgusting and actually in a twisted way sort of funny.

You, know, this site is a fascinating study in human behavior & how unhinged our employee population really is. The OP posted a kind message, offering concern for those affected by the Houston storm. What I have observed in these posts is folks losing their God-loving minds about assigned and unassigned seats, attendance tracking dashboards, and so on. Wow. Ya’ll might wanna reach out to EAP for some mental health help.

@2xsk counts his hours with a-s in seat as value generated, like a guy flipping burgers or answering support calls.

A lot of boot lockers here. I don't get you people. The company and management doesn't care about you so why support them over us average people? Either that or you are right workers jealous about our ability to work from home. I'll be like you and say go get a new job!

@2ctm, it is not the Company’s business how far you chose to live from your place of work.
P.S. commute time is not part of your work time. You still owe the company your 9 work hours regardless of commute.

Not sure who these folks are speaking to, I work more and am more productive at home... The fact that leadership needs to see their minions to believe work is getting done is pathetic, so are those that can figure out how to work from home productively, the office is for you. The company gets their blood and more without a 2 hour commute that should take 30 minutes, and I'm not an a--hole when twice a day after dealing with id--ts on the road.

No. You still must return to office. No WFH

Remember the real reason why management wants to be back in the office so they have an excuse to get out of the house so they could see their wh--es on the side.

@qhk Interesting. What’s your source? I’ve worked downtown since we bought 1500. Never heard that before.

Boss I cant work to work. I work at 1400 on the 3rd floor and the damage on a couple of floors on 1500 are giving me anxiety. Please don't mess with my mental health.
Ps. Can i bring my support puppy to work?

Someone sent me a picture of HOU150. The top 12 floors all have broken windows. About half of the other floors do too. Must have been a gnarly storm.

When Enron built HOU150 they raved about how it was over engineered to be storm proof in all respects, especially windows.

"put everyone at risk" by having to actually show up at work to be able to collect a paycheck, lol. You can't make this up. I think I'll take the rest of the year off, but you still need to pay me, lmao!

Here we go again, all the boomers that can’t work unsupervised want to put everyone at risk due to their own inadequacies.

But how can we get any work done if we can’t go into the office? Our computers work best when we’re in the office. How can we get any work done if we don’t “collaborate”?

You are required to swipe your badge twice a week, rain or shine. Or windows or power.....

How about 1400? Will the buildings be close next week and we can WFH? Is MW still rock solid for collaboration in office?
