Look at the positive, the shareholders will continue to get better dividends. No one cares about the people actually doing the work. Its all about greed and how much more money the execs can get. They need new boats and beach houses. How else are they going to get it without collecting all the crumbs they are paying people.

You've pretty much described capitalism and the fiduciary responsibility of the executives running a corporation.
They do care about the talent and compensate them to the extent they need to retain them to be successful.
