Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Layoffs are running us into ground

If layoffs continue to be the only method of improving stock price, there will be no people left to actually work. My team is already struggling. I see many others reporting they have problems with being understaffed and/or taking on inexperienced people. Either upper mgmt comes up with a better idea of how to run profitable business, or we should all consider going elsewhere.

Emc would cut bonuses to save jobs not pay out 100+ percent even when they lay people off would you want to work for a company like that?

50% of IT could be snapped, and things would get better. So many roadblocks to progress permeate up and down the org. Way to many cooks!!!

It’s all just a fantasy. There is nothing new at Dell but just laying off more and more people. Its just a story and when people find out its a story our execs with cash out and leave us holding the bag.

This company is burning to the ground from the inside. People with 20+ years of loyalty were laid off just for short term stock gains and now there’s no one with the time or knowledge to do the work. MD and the rest of the sc-m at the top are just pumping the stock to gold parachute out and leave su-kers who stayed to deal with the ruins left behind

The layoffs are insufficient. A lot more money can be saved with more significant layoffs. If MD really wants to emulate Musk he should cut deeper.

Didn't Jeff C say Do Less with Less?
Embrace that mantra. And remind management of it every time they ask for something.

The amount we spend on agencies is insane. We could save a ton of money if we forced orgs into consolidating tools, agencies, and contracts. So much that all does the same thing.

The folks at the top haven't been in a working role for decades. Total detachment from reality. The non stop internal spreadsheet spam has snowballed to the point of no return. It's an ever expanding infinite loop of useless spreadsheets flailing around with no real meaning.

Everything is automated (yeah right).Do not forget to enter your data in your spreadsheets, create a brainstorming group to make new spreadsheets.
