I just had an interview and the recruiter informed me Wells added a new compensation rule 3 weeks ago that promotions to a new team cap wage increases at 5% and the new pay could be delayed until Jan 2025. Has anyone else heard of this?

This is true. My friend is posting for a role and is in the final rounds of interviews. He was informed if he gets the job, any increase would happen during the normal cycle after reviews. He was also offered a role with more responsibilities on the current team, but wasn’t offered a promotion or salary increase for the increased duties.
Been saying it for 3 years now. Charlie is waging war on WF employees. He wants to outsource you, automate your tasks, replace you with AI, contract your gig out, or demoralize you until you give up and quit. Anything to avoid severance or retain anyone. Blatantly discriminatory practices like this are the kind of thing he loves to do.
It has long been Shart's MO to discriminate against internal candidates. He has a visceral hatred for anyone that has been at WF longer than him, and he'll S on that group in every way that he can get away with. Apparently the "15% rule" wasn't effective enough at making sure all new hires are external, now he wants to step it up by delaying the increase and making it even smaller. It's complete horse S. and Shart is a total douche for even considering it.

Yes, I have heard this directly from people that are in the interview process for other roles / pay grade bumps within WF. Delayed increased compensation and cap.
