Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Impressions from CLUS 2024

Impressions from CLUS 2024

Everything is around AI and Security, HW business is out of spotlight.
It seems that Splunk acquired Cisco and not the opposite. GS behaves as the big boss of overall business. Challenging times is a head of us....

Its the new exec shuffle. Change the message. Shake up the org. Buy yourself some sweet time to make millions.

This is nothing new. Same old evil.

It's a good thing
From a personal growth perspective learn the technology learn what the likely sales motion is and engineering

Cisco generalists are notoriously shallow minded they need constant reminding to even do basic things like you know call the customer

Some of the guys are still not aware what Meraki is and if the customer asks for umbrella they'll say it isn't raining 😅😂

I hope Gary realises this machine moves as slow as a glacier and is in retreat like one

I don't see staying on this csco boat all the way to the bottom. It's a bad tv show we've watched too long and now they are doing reruns of the bad reruns. Even a lot first line management is turning on itself because they have no spine, were id--ts and back stabbers to start with and just hid it. It used to be a great place to work. Now, it's about as bad as any other slug environment and no where I would recommend to work other than an internship - then run when it's done.

It's the new toy
Actually a good strategy to integrate into the wider teams
Gary needs to shake everything up if Cisco really want to be a software company
