Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Anyone Using Mint Mobile?

What has been your experience with Mint Mobile? Is it reliable? I have been using Cricket but want to fully divest all service with AT&T.

I switched to Verizon prepaid last month. Was shocked to find that T coverage was much better in places I frequent. Might want to ask around first.

You have to pre-pay at least 3 months in advance - 12 months to get best rate. Better MVNO alternatives available. I recommend US Mobile. You choose TMO or VZ network

I use it. I haven't had trouble with it in the Atlanta Metro area. My son went to Sweden and The Netherlands. I signed him up for Minternational (got 2 ten day passes at 20 bucks each). Had no trouble calling or texting him, however when he tried calling other friends in The Netherlands he had no money in his virtual wallet. We found out we also needed to load his wallet so he could make calls to people in Europe while in Europe. Not a big deal, and worked just fine after we figured it out. Might have been cheaper just to purchase a SIM while at the airport, but it worked okay.

Anyway, it seems to work just fine for calls, text and data in Metro Atlanta.
