Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Lame Ducks

Team dynamics. Those of us in “non desirable” locations know it is just a matter of time. We are treated differently, subtle exclusions, comments like, “sorry man” pop up after asking “where are you located?”. My old team has now formed into two teams, those that live and those that are going away.

Non-core/non-specialty and remote. My manager keeps loading me up with more and more responsibilities. Knowing my luck, it means my 60 day notice will end up being working to transition tasks only I know how to do.

So true I am one - wait until your laid off, keep the ball in their court, severance will help the transition away from the “firm”

Same on my team. Lots of “preparing” and getting the core location folks up to speed.

Been living this for years, my manager doesn't press me on much or care about me as he knows I will be laid off. Why invest time and conversation with someone who is on the chopping block?

Add to that all meetings are now scheduled to serve the India day shift, so that pretty much isolates me from the rest.

Maybe I'll get laid off on Tuesday.

Correction: those that are going away later, and those that are going away sooner.

I’m impressed by how well written this post is. Are you sure that you work at Wells?
