Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Unfair and biased insights by manager

Got my insights today which was pretty unbiased and made no sense. I had completed all my OKRs but got partially on track and also developing in the ratings. Manager clearly trying to provoke me to move out or leave Intel. Is there a way I can ask for severance package or work towards it? I’d rather take that and leave. What kind of insights situation may trigger separation package if at all?

Waiting for a severance package could be short sighted. The job market is tightening up. If you wait it could mean that you will have few if any options which could be more costly than not getting a package on your way out.

Do not ‘just leave’ if you would like the package. Generally it appears there will be ISPs this fall. Insights rating may be part of the qualification criteria. So you have two options - if you definitely want to stay, push back and insist this manager change what he rated you. They can change it until the end of the month. If you want to leave with a package, do nothing, for it seems the manager may already be getting you aligned with the exit criteria. When you hear the ISP is coming tell your manager you would not mind being on the list. I’m sure he will be able to arrange it. Either way good luck.

@pkx+1tB5uibF, wow a lot of petty sh!t... just leave. Is this the kind of cr@p that your life has degenerated to at Intel. I feel bad for you.

"If I had a disagreement with the feedback my manager gave me, my first thought would be to talk to my manager"

You think the manager wasn't aware of what they wrote.
That seems doubtful.
Dig up dirt on the manager like video taping them showing they
are a du----s or talk to the manager's enemies.
You need to get in the mud with the sleazy manager.

If I had a disagreement with the feedback my manager gave me, my first thought would be to talk to my manager instead of bi--hing about it on an anonymous layoff board. But that's just me.

Welcome to the new Intel... where meritocracy and fairness is now a pipedream. At least you have OKRs that are achievable... you could get "aspirational" OKRs which never can be met, but it's under the management telling you...it's ok if you can't meet them, since we are setting the bar high for everyone (but in reality, it's a flat out lie). Then you talk to your co-workers, and find out their OKRs are essentially picking their nose, and taking noon naps.

Just leave. Get your resume up to date and start looking. You won't regret it. You are clearly p-ssed off so channel that energy into getting out. The only way you will get a package is VSP or ISP.
