I don't think anybody would be complaining about layoffs if that was the case. But we all know that would mean we'd lose so many useless managers and we can't have that. Who would be going from a pointless meeting to a pointless meeting to go over the same presentations over and over again without actually making any concrete decisions if that were to happen?

bottom 10% aren't the primary issue, it questionable leadership & decision
Eventually Jack Welch was a 10 percenter and "retired".
Insiders hiring friends and family is the norm. Middle management and above is all nepotism and buddy buddy. DEI is the scapegoat. But we all know the leaders were promoted based on who they know.
Sadly this is just the norm.
start within the leadership ranks, oh, yeah, then execs would have to layoff cronies hired over the years, and that is not going to happen
Some low performers must have dirt on these leaders. There’s no other explanation for how some people have made it through this many rounds of layoffs.
It would be the bottom 50%. The majority of the people who are at Dell are low performers.
Not a bad idea, do what Jack Welch did at GE, bottom 10% every year.
I'd say bottom 15% every two years and the things will go in the right direction.
Why would you ask them to delete this post? Where are you to assume some authority?
I can relate to the same meetings and presentations over and over, that's all our team does

Dell is like the federal government, it’s so easy to fail upwards.
