Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Honestly I don’t get it

Many times people have complained our compensation is bad. Once I gave my resignation letter, they said what can I do for you to stay? I’m saying fix the broken compensation issue. If there is no money or revenue that’s higher management issue and means your roadmap is broken.

@tcu, PG has added to the mess. He is not the guy to fix all the problems. He was one of 3 or 4 candidates that got passed over when PO was chosen to be CEO. There were valid reasons he was passed over. I really don’t think that Intel has ability to turn things around. The internal culture has changed for the worst. Intel won’t go away but it will never be the industry leader it once was.

A lot if the lifers here got complacent and frankly, just mediocre now. A lot of people rotted out due to lax environment and just being un-competitive

Lots of people probably don't want to move and have skill sets that have eroded staying at Intel. I think Intel has MUCH larger problems than compensation issues at hand. Poor decisions from the prior 2 CEOs have wrecked the company. Pat has a monumental mess to clean up, and frankly I'm not sure if it's possible at his age vs a younger Lisa Su. Everything I see Intel trying to do now is what AMD started doing ~20 years ago.

One issue that really ki-led Intel was settling for good enough regarding the best when hiring. They valued quantity over quality for quite some time.

What's keeping you at Intel? I'm sure one of those higher paying companies are dying to hire you if you're so capable.
