Consistent Layoffs and Outsourcing - Be Prepared

There have been consistent layoffs since the initial round in October. These layoffs have been smaller to avoid arousing suspicion, but word travels from department to department about the ongoing reductions. This past week, the finance department was affected as well as credentialing. They are beginning to outsource many roles, including credentialing, payroll, billing, and other finance positions. It is not a coincidence that these roles were reduced last week.

The trend of reducing internal roles while outsourcing will likely continue. Not everyone is in a position where they can lose their job and still make ends meet until they find a new one. If you are in one of these roles, or any role really, I would strongly consider exploring other options now.

Stay alert and be prepared.

Compliance and audit was hit in Feb and April as well. It only took a couple months for them to do another layoff in those departments. Keep putting apps out! There is absolutely no words for how this company has treated its employees. No respect, dignity, or compassion. There is a life outside of Med Sol! Keep your head up and keep looking around. My advice: dip as soon as you can. They have made a very negative name for Medical Solutions. What once was an amazing company has become a laughing stock within the medical world. Best of luck to everyone looking for new positions!

Layoffs were throughout compliance departments / audit today. They are outsourcing our jobs. Anyone left ..you're there until they have the newly purchased Phillipines company fully trained. Don't fall for thinking you won't be next - it's only a matter of time. If this company doesn't go under soon due to the horrible management that is making decisions I'd be shocked. Kim, GiGi and Peyton should be ashamed of themselves for the way they are doing people. And then they just go about their lovely day like no big deal and not a care in the world. How could you continue to work for a company that is doing this to people? How do you sleep at night being that kind of person? I couldn't do it but they apparently just stay and do it. They are making cuts in the worst ways possible. They are highly unprofessional and heartless on their cold calling they make to you. Beware if your phone rings is my advice to you! But yeah let's send the sales team on an all expense paid vacation to Cancun! Sounds like super responsible spending!

I had been there awhile so my severance is ok, and yes getting even more toxic and micromanaging. You make 1 mistake and they're talking IAP

Severance is 2 weeks per year you've been with the company. I.e. you've been with the company for 2 years that would be 4 weeks worth of severance (so a months pay). It's not enough to sustain living without another position for an extended period of time.

I know of one person in Payroll that lost her job but I haven’t heard anything about Billing, and I work in that area. Are you talking about Med Sol on its own or are you talking about the affiliates?
