Happened today. I don't know why she was using one. IT must have been searching for it?

stop paying based on time, but on output and then all of this becomes moot. Maybe it gets more complicated when one person has to bill against multiple project budgets with some predefined allocations... but still. If you are telling me that a meeting listener is any less productive mowing the lawn or shopping for groceries vs someone staring at a bunch of 1) avatars, or 2) people eating cereal with a virtual background, let me know.
I don’t use a juggler, but in the past I’ve seen the location tracking alert. Does Schwab track location as normal course of business?
Yes. Normally it is just logged, but any location flagged as VPN or international generates a real-time action.

I am in IT at Schwab. You can get away with mouse jigglers as long as you unplug it when you go on breaks and/or lunch. Otherwise it looks like you have never taken a break. Also, do not use one if you are working somewhere other than your home because if they suspect this they will then begin to identify your current location. Many have been fire for using these devices while they are out shopping or doing other things and there is no way to dispute the location details. If you’re location is being tracked you will see a message pop up in the taskbar stating this and you should unplug the device immediately, shut down your system and go on a break.
I’m familiar with the team monitoring jigglers: they’ve been watching for a few months to see how often people are using them. Another big company made headlines for firing employees using mouse jigglers so I guess Schwab is following suit.
If you don’t want to be fired and you’ve used any kind of mouse jiggling program or script, stop now.
All those saying it’s an excuse, it’s not, it’s against company policy… and if you doubt the capabilities to detect, plug one in yourself….bunch of bitter a.. people.
How about you all just do your work? It’s why you receive a paycheck.
May be pay check was less, so worker started side hustle ?

Schwab departments like IT snd STS are not that advanced to find mouse jiggler. STS has old, obnoxious non tech folks who calls themselves techies haha . Its just excuse giving excuse to fire
You can just easily simulate mouseclicks using Excel with VBA. And if anyone checks it just looks like your computer is running Excel.
"Build a better mouse jiggler, and the world will beat a path to your door" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
STS here:
You plug in ANYTHING to your PC or docking station, it’s immediately detected and known. Mouse jigglers are easily identified.
Your I/O is also easily measured.
Always assume “Big Brother” is watching so whatever you do (or not do) take ownership of the consequences.
What if I'm my own mouse jiggler, can they tell the difference?
Schwab will look for an excuse to fire anybody.
Target Harness Next Gen,
pointless FTE's
impractical Contractor
But still able to survive in Schwab.
This prove there some one in sky , saving some pointless + impractical things on earth.
By the way Schwab will save some dollars if they can get empty themself from this team
Schwab will look for an excuse to fire anybody. I'm sure Schwab is thrilled about employees using mouse jugglers. Just fire them all. No severance to pay out. Will help with their bottom line.

Think more advanced. Pattern recognition and image comparison can easily be utilized.
It would not make sense to only monitor individuals with low performance. Low performance is reason enough to be fired in this current climate.
Everything that happens on your work hardware is captured and monitored.
Possible, but likely they were suspected for poor performance or other criteria first.
Workstations have software that can monitor keystrokes and activity. However, it is risky to use that as sole determiner. For example, how much activity is there on a video conference.
Cheating work is wrong. If this happened I'm glad it was caught. But productivity and participation are still the way I manage.
The lesson here is if you use a mouse jiggler, get a stochastic mouse jiggler. They are more expensive, but introduce randomness in the jiggling. The best stochastic jigglers use a small amount of uranium that decays, with stochastic half lives. This is then feed through a SHA1 hash algorithm, and the bytes converted to hexadecimal encoding. An activation function is used to see if threshold for jiggle is reached. If so jiggle, else do nada.
iT is searching for it.
Many of the suites that corporations use have been adding methods of detecting such behavior. If you think you are smarter - you are not.
I doubt this. I aware of someone who wanted to check on an employee for a mouse juggler (or something similar) and was told it would be very hard to do and couldn’t be done with certainty. Maybe Schwab is updated their capabilities, but I’m not betting on it as of now.
How did they find out?
