It was confirmed by our senior VP and it will be Intel-wide. No one’s job is safe. It will start after next week’s all company meeting and notifications will start in mid-August. You heard it here first.

It is not company wide. Low cost geos are safe. The actual percentage will be higher than 15% in high cost geo, mostly US based employees. So yeah, 10-15% across the company is true with that caveat.

@shl, last reported headcount was about 130000. It was the same two years ago. I don't see 10 - 15%.
Another round on involuntary CPM? Many Orgs have already had one (or more) rounds of VSP in the last 12 months and (on average) have lost 10-15% between those VSP rounds and normal attrition. Another 10-15% cut across the board would leave the company very hamstrung.
Looking forward to it. This company is full of useless clowns. But the biggest challenge is to distinguish them from initiative and skilfull employees. In any case I am good with results. If they fire right people, it is good. If they won't be able to reveal them, it also good, since this company is not worthy to survive in this case and it will dot the I's.
