How many times can you be put on a coaching plan?

I was put on a coaching plan earlier this year and I winded up passing even though I didnt do anything different. That tells me that I was probably scapegoated. I didnt care if I got PIPd. Lets say they put me on a coaching plan again and pass again. Is there a limit to how many times I can be put on a coaching plan before they outright PIP me

Once you are Targeted you are on the way out. The stress will become almost unbearable. The game changes when need warrants it and not in your favor. Don't believe management if you ask questions. False hope not the truth will be given because they are worried about themselves only. I myself wanted to not believe stories I've heard over the years on this topic but have seen it play out too many times. Something needs to be done. I've seen too much at this point. PIP is a blessing in disguise Take it and move on. Much Better places to work are out there for sure.

The correct answer is 1. Once you are on a coaching plan, you should coast and get PIPed to collect the severance package. There is no point in trying to pass a CP and subject yourself to the stress of wondering where you will land in the next PM cycle. You deserve better.

Yes. I started looking already. I think once they start coming after you. It doesn't matter what you do. I feel it's based on how they want to cover themselves from various legal implications. Immediate PIP vs CP to Incosistent or another Below Strong and then PIP

I was put on a coaching plan last year after MY review. The ask was reasonable, I didn’t do anything different. Even my boss said expect nothing different from what I was doing. Never knew if I passed the CP or not but year end ranking was Inconsistent then PIP. I managed to find a new job right after I opted out from PIP. I think your best bet now is to look for new opportunities outside of C1.

The way things are going now at C1, I don't think they even put you in coaching plan next time if you end up in the "rank and yank" list. Most likely PIPed. I heard stories that people come out of coaching plan and the ask was reasonable back then like 4 years ago. This is the 1st time I am hearing some made it thru CP in the recent times. How was your last coaching plan expectations? Was that a reasonable ask?
I got into coaching plan this mid year. There is no way i can complete what is being asked. It is very clear that it is a setup for year end and PIP after.
