Will there be layoffs soon or not? I keep hearing people mention more cuts sometimes soon but nobody knows when exactly or where. I'm starting to hope it's just fear talking and we're not in any imminent danger. I'd be grateful for any concrete info on this.

The first layoff should be Barry. This guy has done nothing but make costly errors after costly error. We traded a CEO with a PHD in Economics from Harvard for an MBA graduate from a second tiered university.
TD needed to lay off enough people to fit into the new Tower that that they opened. Having yoga mats and a cafe are not going to fix the hot mess happening there. The plastic smiles and not authentic messaging by the exec team is hard to fix. It feels like the employees that are left are battle scarred and don't care either anymore. It's just a job and the people working there are just are colleagues. Diversity is annoying and overly communicated. Diversity, employee trips (Miami was great) , week long employee appreciation celebration that could have had bank dollars utilized in education (mandatory) even in non customer facing roles. People are not going to forget this and customers are going to be asking questions on how this place is being managed and will take their money to one of the new and much improved financial options opening on the street. Even being in a new building, a change of scenery - this place still has a bad smell.
The rumors are true and we lost a dozen or so more resources in the past couple weeks. No communications, no plans to address the work that will not get done. Hiring more AVP/VPs externally while ignoring internal candidates. Yeah, it's a total cluster f&^%
Dropping middle market would do wonders. Tier 3 shop.
