I don't know many people who still care about their jobs here. It's mostly just folks doing the bare minimum as they're searching for new jobs or waiting for retirement. I can't blame anybody, considering how AIG has been in the last several years. I wish things were different since I used to like working here, but it is what it is.

Post VERP, AIG has become a terrible place. They are promoting some people to the tune of 20% raises but are in no hurry to replace all the people that VERPed. STAY AWAY. This place is a disaster.
Post ID: @4grp+1tGisFxT: Exactly right. THEY DO NOT CARE.
Hi ! In my country we have more and more people leaving, mostly from UW department (also senior managers). HR can't keep up at all. the situation worsened lately because some new companies like Everest and berkshire are expanding and hiring a lot of aig people. I don't understand why Aig is so adamant in overworking people and pay them less than they deserve... It seems like they don't care
Yeah, I'm one of those. I got some interviews elsewhere and even though I know the grass is not necessarily greener out there, especially with the current job market, I'm totally willing to give it a shot. I need a fresh start after this sh-t show.
I have to think there is some type of bigger plan at play here that hasn't been revealed yet. Merger/acquisition/sale, etc. I don't see how the status quo is sustainable long term.
Those remaining are too overwhelmed to care. Work is not getting done. Brokers are becoming disillusioned with the company's inability to perform. PZ is tanking with company but will walk away with the golden parachute for him and his cronies
This company doesn't care so why blame people doing the bare minimum. If they don't care why should the ones left care anymore. What I find intriguing is that those who are left are expected to pick up all the work and not be compensated for it.
The way they went about it was just a total disgrace. I am sure new hires will get paid more than people that left or that have stayed behind.
It su-ks that not everyone was eligible for the VERP. The $hit show left is going to be interesting to watch.
I think there are going to be more people checking out after the group verping next week leaves. There is only so much we can do with reduced staffing while maintaining the same output expectations. Burnout will be a very real and widespread occurrence in the near future. It really is disappointing that many people genuinely care about their jobs but the company is showing little concern for their employees at this moment.
