Everyone is going to be out of a job whether the company breaks up or not.
@ikg Who is “we”? You realize you and everybody else will almost certainly be out of a job if the company breaks up? The BUs cannot make competitive designs right now and have no future in an industry that increasingly moving to custom silicon. The fabs cannot compete with TSMC right now either. Maybe they can at some point but that needs significant time and money. Intel’s only chance is to survive long enough for the process node investments to give a competitive node. It may not happen, but the alternative is nothing.
Let it die. Moore is already dead.
That is what we need
If Pat goes, the next CEO will be a breakup specialist and it will be the end of the company.
