Anyone have any real insights or thoughts on why Intel moved out their Q2 quarterly earnings by a week later (to Aug 1st), and extended the company all-hand quarterly meeting by 30mins? Thinking maybe they'll give out free ice cream (LOL)?

That's my point. They're officially off the books on Aug 1. I'm sure that's going into the calculations and to be considered "legit" they need to be officially gone.
The ACM is longer but it includes Dave’s Take this time
@vil, what difference will the VSP people make? They are already leaving. The only difference would be that Intel management can use their departure as one of the actions they are taking to ease the investors reactions to the bad quarterly results they have reported. They could still have made that claim without pushing the date out by a week. It was a done deal those people were leaving by 7/31 in any case. I would not be surprised if missing revenue targets isn't the only bad news. I suspect that they could announce pushing the 18A readiness and slowing capex accordingly. 18A was supposed to be production ready in 2H 24 but there is no indication that this is on track. This still doesn't explain the push in the earnings date.
they'll announce company split , the biggest shake up in intels history
It couldn't possibly be because the last day for the VSP participants is on July 31, could it?
Nah, couldn't be...
I imagine the positioning will be along the lines of wanting to go after AMD. You see, the belief among Pat and his su-k ups is that the market treats us poorly because AMD comes after and they get to position what they did vs us. Our stock goes down because we can't properly showcase what we do vs our main competitor is the thinking.
Sure.
Major bad news is the only possible reason.
Not free ice cream, just a free banana to go with the ISP.
I consulted the intel design team magic eight ball and it responded “all signs point to mass layoff”
Blockbuster earnings and a special bonus announcement.
Oh sorry, I thought this was the Nvidia board.
