Thread regarding Ford layoffs

2.3 billion Ford has racked up many recalls over the last few years, and the costs are weighing down its bottom line.

Ford reported its second-quarter financial results this week and revealed that recall and warranty costs hit $2.3 billion over the last three months, costing the company $25.5 million a day.

Ford needs to buy the Renaissance Center and pour hundreds of millions of dollars into it. Detroit needs another waste of money to cement its “comeback”. They could fire some more experienced engineers to finance it.

Dave Calhoun definitely will be named Ford's new loser CEO.

Then it's back to building 1974 Ford Pintos that only come in the color yellow. No other Ford vehicles will be manufactured.

"How is it that this is seemingly getting worse".

This will be a case study at many universities.

How is it that this is seemingly getting worse years after a group founded with the only purpose of addressing quality issues? How has it become so bad? I ask as I've been out of the loop since Aug 2022.

Make sure to add the TVM implementation dates to the Paynter charts to make it painfully obvious to management when the problems started.

Pushing too hard for TVM is going to make things worse. It's happened before where teams think they've saving money, but end up having to revert the TVMs due to unexpected issues they caused once implemented.

It is time to one of the BoD members to take over as CEO. Who should it be?

The excessive number of Ford recalls is a sign that it is past time that the Ford family names Dave Calhoun the new Ford CEO. As you may know Dave Calhoun is Boeing's current CEO flunky that was fired several months ago. Dave's hanging around at Boeing until the end of this year so he can pocket 62 million bucks as he walks out the Boeing door for the last time. Opps, Dave doesn't report to any Boeing offices. He works from his multiple million-dollar homes on the east coast and has free access to Boeing private jets to fly him where he wants to go, like in-between his multiple homes and to Dave's vacation destinations. The speed of Dave's destroying Boeing, who is a Bean-counter Account by the way is a sure sign that Dave Calhoun will have Ford Motor Company up on the blocks left for dead and ready to sell off in parts within 2 years after Dave becomes Ford next CEO. So, let's all welcome Dave Calhoun as the new incoming Ford CEO. If you already haven't figured it out, Calhoun also had a hand in standing the two Boeing Astronauts at the International Space station. Their original mission flying to the Space station on the Boeing designed Starliner space vehicle was only supposed to last for eight days before returning to earth. As of today, it's going on a month now with no return to Earth date in site.

Leadership still does not get it with Kumar pushing TVM actions in Town Hall today either. So many of those have done nothing but backfire.

There is one common denominator in the poor decision making at Ford in the last 24 years. I wonder what the recall of the train station will fall under.
