One external executive once said, the biggest difference between Nike and their brand is that employees at Nike don’t work together, they work against each other, fight to get/take credit, throw others under the bus to do so and ultimately just play a game of politics. They are experts at the game of politics and use careful words and manipulation to do so.
While it’s not talked about, in tough business times it always comes out - really ugly.
The leaders, and their spawns have been too widespread to change this or do so quickly. Also - maybe no one cares to change it and figure that the swoosh will always just be on top.

People act like this wasn’t always the case. It’s been game of thrones for at least a decade plus. The difference is that now Wall Street knows about it and we have a CEO who doesn’t understand brand…
They are not experts. They’re just friends with the right people. They have no skills, can’t even get a job with the same title at another global company. They are not meant to do anything
