Has anyone in Oregon taken a voluntary separation package and received unemployment benefits?

Voluntary separation packages were offered in Chandler AZ with two week window at start of July. Don't think they made the numbers.

Yes, file a claim! First response was correct that they won't fight it. It won't hurt to try.
Hey, I have lost my shirt (and other things) on my list stock that I helps onto and is worthless now! I have ZERO problem claiming unemployment from a company that spends millions on cruises and other wasteful things when we can't spend 50 for a lunch or even office supplies!!

You should always file, regardless of whether it was voluntary or involuntary. Previously, Intel has said they are not going to challenge any claims.

Isn't VSP basically quitting with a bonus? I would assume that if you leave your job voluntarily you wouldn't qualify for unemployment. The process probably intentionally s-cks to deter people from relying on it.

Each person's case is unique. There is a very small window in which you can claim unemployment if you took VSP. You'd have to review the qualification conditions on the oregon unemployment website. Good luck trying to contact anyone on the phone. I recommend actually going into the Workforce Oregon office, there is one in Tanasbourne on 185th.

If anyone is wondering, yes, I'm on unemployment and it wasn't voluntary. The process absolutely su-ks and is horribly designed. I highly recommend going and talking to the Workforce Oregon folks, they are super nice and helped me get my benefits activated.
