Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Slapped with a CP

Well good ole C1 hit me with a below strong during mid year. I’ve been with the company for 13 years and always gotten strong or very strong and occasionally an exceptional. New manager came in and said that I was not pulling my weight despite praise the whole year in my 10/10. Legal way of reducing headcount. Gonna milk it at this point and get my paycheck then they can put me on a PIP and I will get my severance. What a cr-p company.

So disgusting to treat people that way. Document everything at some you will be targeted and need it. Negotiate for the most severance you can. Documentation helps with that. Seeing is believing. Most people don't document and when HR sees that you hVe you might get 4+ weeks per yr of employment vs 2 weeks per yr. It's a big hassle but worth your time.

happened to me a few years ago. Had been praised for years. New manager (who never met with me) and suddenly i didnt know what i was doing. I dragged out the PIP as long as possible to get every $$$ I could and a jump on looking. Found a new job in 6 weeks..way less stress, none of this cutthroat stuff..milk them for all you can then get out. You'll be better off

I'm expecting the same thing to happen. My manager has been papering me. Dropped me from very strong to strong. Is unable to make eye contact with me since he got back from Vaca. He's told me 2x we'll get to your mid year next. 1st las Friday. Then Monsay this week. Still no mid tear review. All my coworkers had theirs a week ago. Sorry to hear after 13 yrs someone is treated that way. If U know to much or manager feels U R A threat I guess we go. So cr-ppy. Best of Luck 2 U
