Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Nobody is safe

When layoffs are 10% or more, it's not just lazy or incompetent workers who get laid off, even highly qualified and productive workers get laid off. Unless workers unite or join forces to start their own worker-owned businesses, nobody is safe. Yes, there will still be some workers who won't get laid off and they will think that they are better workers than anyone else, but it was just luck. Remember, Capitalists have to keep a few workers around that have worked 20 years or more to trick you to think that if you just work hard and obey all orders that you can have a steady paycheck for life and become wealthy.

Does anyone know which teams will be impacted the most ? LTD & LTD-M teams like MIE and manufacturing ? Sales ? Design teams ?

If layoffs were about removing the lazy or incompetent, INTC would be a great company after ACT. Clearly, layoffs are a numbers game and it’s unlikely that performance is the main factor in making the call for who goes and who stays.

While sickenly funny... the people who think they are the most productive and mission critical are likely the people who actually the useless deadweight, and actually slows down progress vs improve efficiencies. They think they are the solution... but in reality, they are the problem.

Ummm i have loyalty to friends and family both companies and governments owe me nothing. They facilitate success but dont guarantee it. Remember kids after you retire friends show up at your funernal not the government or a company.
