Anyone know how they handle a layoff while on leave? Does your manager call you to tell you plus ask for their laptop back? Other? Lol

@clb: you can go on maternity or bonding leave, after childbirth.
The Google search reply below - way to completely not answer my question. Mo--n
A quick google answered this: Yes, an employer can lay off an employee while they are on medical leave, such as Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, if the employee would have been laid off regardless of their leave. The employer has the burden of proving this. FMLA regulations state that employees on leave have the same job protections as other employees in the workplace. However, employers can't fire or discipline employees for requesting or taking FMLA leave, and terminating an employee solely because of their maternity leave status is illegal.
Then you will use up your sabbatical and no pay for sabbatical period will be included in your severance package.
You can be laid off on sabbatical, not medical. It's sad we are stuck in a society with people like you who have no idea what at will or right to work mean. You're worse than a child.
You’ll just get canned when you return. That one has been tried many times before lol
Can you be laid off while on sabbatical?
If I get pregnant now, and get on maternity leave ASAP, I should be safe, right?
You will be notified once back
I should take my sabbatical tomorrow.
