Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Stock price is dropping like a rock ahead of earnings

Literally a 30 degree down sloping line since open. Could easily be in mid $28 range by the earnings call if the sell off continues. Way ahead of the rest of the market on % of decline. See for yourself:

Well, whether the intel dead body drops by you or rolls by you what is the difference.
It is still going down.

@pnm... what a great observation because that was the whole point of the post. How much did you lose today?

It definitely goes below book, which is closer to 25 or a little below.

You have to unwind the epic sh-t show of human resource, for which there is a penalty.

This company is in GE and Kodak land of mismanagement. Not fixable, just waiting for rigor mortis to further affect Intel’s dead corpse until a b-school case is written on it.

Book value is like 26 or so.
Won’t go lower unless there’s a debt default problem.

This company is less than the combined value of the assets because you’ve still got all the nincompoops on payroll.

The stock will fall to near the sum total of the physical buildings and equipment Intel has. At this point, and definitely when it drops below, Intel will be a screaming good buy. Unfortunately that’ll be on a workforce about 30% the size of what it is today.
