So much politics right now. Executives taking the merger with Pioneer as an opportunity to kingdom build and settle old scores. Those not seen as lining up on the right side being punished and demoted.

Our Wells job family is notorious for this behavior. They are ruthless. My advise, bend the knee to the Czar (his last name rhymes with it too !) it is a cult, several strong headed VPs couldn’t break it. Same as GP, no one wants to mess with Garman and Dibbs

You are not rowing with the boat unless you agree with their excellent plan…every piece of data needs to line up with that…., no matter how id--tic or how flawed.
If you bring up lesson learned or anything to the contrary, then you will be deemed rigid and not adaptable to change.
Notice how mew leadership was brought in just before the reorg. Easily to manipulate those who don’t have lessons learned from actually working in the Permian. That’s how you get your way as an executive. Stack the deck.
Many examples of those who tried to share past lessons learned on org design being seen as troublemakers and sidelined. IF they asked for your input it was just to give you an opportunity to stroke their ego and confirm they had a perfect plan. Heaven forbid you raised unsolicited feedback. That is what we call career su----e!
