Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Will xom buy cvx

These announcements show how bad our executives are and the pool of future executive candidates... we are in a real trouble.

In the long run, there could be a merge of CVX with either BP, Shell or XOM. To satisfy the federal antitrust regulations, they will need to 'transform' - one will need to have a greater upstream profile and other more downstream. Since more money to be made in upstream, what we might be seeing now w Hess is MKW and DWW duking it out for who has to be downstream. Maybe the major news is that we are selling one or both CA refineries? Who has enough to buy though?

As a XOM stockholder I certainly hope not.

The merger was on the table during the pandemic. It’s not out of the question.

Huge upgrade in managment. NG and RM gone. Couldn't have asked for a better Friday. Just think of their crony followers that have ruined upper managment. Layoffs are in 2025, so they will not be protecting anyone.
