Just stumbled across this interview with Pat a few years back and now I know a portion of why we fail over and over...at the 35 second mark he says "relationships are more important than results"...him and his gang can sc--w up over and over with execution issues and ki-ling the company but hey as long as they're still friends and can laugh about it together that's a win

Lots of pet projects with zero impact. Pet projects are a way for inefficient managers to show themselves engaged as if they're developing the next big thing . Also guess who funds these projects ? The cr-nies who hired them in first place

Layoffs come too late as a result. And has reduced the chances of Intel ever recovering significantly.
