Just one of the many examples I've encountered during my career at ExxonMobil:

"I'm not really worried about any of you getting Covid. But I am very worried that you can get hurt if you don't hold the hand rail."

(by an uncon development manager in the spring of 2020, when the Covid death toll just had hit 100,000 in the US)

The only skills you need to succeed at excon are a kissing and looking good. There was once a very attractive engineer. This person was out most of the time and did not complete projects. They were praised and congratulated for the work they did. They were promoted several times through the years. They finally got a job promoting exxons projects overseas. They would travel the world and tell the locals what wonderful benefits they would receive. They looked like a movie star. Another person started at CL 22 and in two years was a 24. I have never seen someone rise so fast. Only the bold and the beautiful progress.

Micromanaging, cred stealing, lack of morals, lack of knowledge, lack of ability to learn, hurting folks for fun and enjoyment, incompetence, lack of honesty both up and down the chain for starters

We don’t have management we have soul su-king demons that can’t do the work. Those that can do and those that can’t manage those that can
