This afternoon, our Manager called us all in the conference room and told us that there would be no pay raises this year. She stated that she was under the impression that we’d all get an increase this year and was just told yesterday afternoon that they had been cancelled. It’s funny, I listened to the release call with Jose and Clay and they seemed very enthusiastic about how our company was doing. This obviously wasn’t received well by our team as a few people commented about sending their resumes out to “test the market”. Our project manager told me that this is typical NOV. Such a bad blow for a Friday afternoon.

I don’t think it’ll take that long. My manager is working with his manager now on cost cutting initiatives for budgets. Head count reductions are on the board. They cut all our hours down to 40 hours last month and told us no raises this year. Now they have us going through our inventory to see what we can get off of the books.
Here in Anderson tx we are running out of work I got a feeling there gonna start laying off maybe by the end of next month..
Some areas may not have raises, but that’s not company wide.

Our manager’s boss came by this afternoon and met with our boss in his office for about an hour. After he left, you could tell our boss was upset about something. Hopefully we’re just being paranoid and it’s something else, but man, not a good feeling. Good luck to everyone.
Our plant had a lay off today. Heard Rigs had a lay off too. Breen lost a couple.
No word on raises for ISE.
