Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Any hope?

Is there any thing that beings you hope? Any chance that we are able to end the year better than we are right now?

Or is there any hope that cvx will end 2025 better?

There is hope with Hess. There is hope once FGP gets cranking. I would guess that those who leave will regret their decision a few years down the line. At the very minimum, there is hope that I wake up each day with life and that I have a decent job

There is no hope in much that CVX is doing as long at MW is leading the way. Investors, Wall Street and dividends will be the main concern for him with employees coming in about 10th place.
Until the BOD and Investors start to really look at the main issue, we will continue, sorry MW will continue to bring this company down.
If you can't see that the ELT is trying everything they can to increase attrition and make it look like this is what we asked for, then you still have time. But not much.

Would start looking or pivot especially if in the upstream space of CVX. Drilling completions always the first to go. No idea what is up XOM sleeve with the HES deal but it will be at least another two years till that is settled out… Good luck friends

Chevron needs to go back to its roots. Get deeper cheaper. Scrap all of this ESG nonsense stop trying to time the market with acquisitions.

Hess would have been a positive. Absent that, there are no growth opportunities. Alternate/renewables has predictably stalled after initial hoopla.

Don't worry too much, there is always hope, focus on what you can control, there is this 4 to 5 year cycle of restructuring for all companies.

No hope here. Looks like everything is down hill from here.
