Intel would love to see a walkout. Good opportunity to fire a few w/out having to give them CPM pkgs.
It won't stop the layoffs. Already announced and in the works. Don't be foolish. Just get another job somewhere else. Don't waste your time.

If you love your company and want to save it, just do it. Otherwise, forget about it and let it fail further. You can just pretend to work until your manager gives you the notice.

i hope you do it. would be wonderful for the shareholders. perhaps then pat would finally get walked and company broken up. of course a lot of the strikers, if not most, would lose their jobs but a small sacrifice to help the shareholders get pat out.
If they provided a structure and R&R for engineering and manufacturing staff it would do wonders. So many of the inefficiencies day to day is posturing, overreaching, or meddling from the managers' side. Some folks feel like they have no agency where they should, and others feel their it is their god given right to make changes for other teams.
There is no avenue for us to push back on them since the management issues go straight up the org.
I haven’t heard a legitimate good argument against unionizing yet. Same old incorrect rhetoric or name calling but not an actual valid reason why we shouldn’t!
It's hilarious how everyone who oppose unionizing lists the same complaints that would happen with union and already happen at Intel: redundant positions..have you not seen all the unnecessary VPs and PEs getting paid 300k to sit around on their a-s? Another one: Intel would cease to exists. Wake up brother, it is headed that way already, without a union! Can't fire "undesirables" or low performing people. Breaking news: Have you not looked around? We already retains those as is. I'm all in for unionizing, if it'll light a fire under upper management to not have layoffs as the first and only option any time they overspend.

@rna+1tQ3SgPc - I really could care less what you do. HR spends zero time on this site. Look at the average number of views per post. Very low numbers so it is the same people over and over. Maybe a little higher this week for obvious reasons. This site is inconsequential.

Do it! It is not that hard to organize and it is perfectly legal. If anyone at Intel (especially management) disparage this in any way, it is a federal crime and Intel would be subjected to potentially gigantic fines and penalties. I've been encouraging Intel employees to organize for years. It is one of the only ways to protect yourselves from completely and totally incompetent management. I could NOT believe I head PG actually state that "we have a lot of wood to chop" in reference to the planned payoffs. The senior managers do NOT care at all about anyone at that company. Work together and take care of yourselves!!!!
Well that will be the final nail in Intel's coffin. Where to you plan to work afterwards?

Intel's financial and technological problems won't be solved by unions. The company has been poorly managed for 20 years.
