Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Voluntary vs Involuntary package differences?

Based on historical data, would anyone know if the involuntary layoff package would be substantially worse than the voluntary separation package?

Circuit+ does not mention any numbers for involuntary layoffs AFAICT.

Thanks for any insight.

You can get unemployment with the VSP as well. It's reported as a staffing reduction to the state and feds.

No redeployment pool since there won’t be any internal jobs. It’s better to get the payout. Good luck

They are the same packages. However I heard for this isp there will not be any pool time. You get paid out the 9 weeks of pool time.

As @vnc+1tQk2Rjm almost nailed, they are almost identical. There are a few differences, mostly to job hunting resources and how the redeployment pool works, but none that hit your pocketbook.

As far as returning, they are the same rules for both - as long as you are not cut for performance reasons, you can return within the guidelines laid out. This info is all available if you have access to Circuit.

Bottom line - as long as you are not cut for performance, waiting for the ISP is the wiser choice since you will get another month of pay and insurance.

My understanding is with the ISP you can't come back.....as if you'd want to.

The VSP and ISP packages are identical and the same as other CPMs over the last couple years
