Watch as Intel does its best to get rid of everybody 50 and over while attempting to hide there's age discrimination taking place.

Fu-k them. They literally got us into this mess
GOOD. I'm sick of overpaid self-entitled boomers who work slow as he-l and don't know WTF they're talking about in this workplace. GTFO already.
Just fyi, a 55yo grade 56 tech. with 30 years experience doesn't cost as much as a 30 yo grade 7 eng. with 5 years experience.
Grey haired folks get ready for it, they will mix in some 20 something's to keep the average age artificially low to avoid ageism lawsuits.
@fzo+1tRPtPzf - what does that even mean. Proof read your posts before hitting submit or don't bother.
Agreed , we (hand up please) have tenure, the packages are more interesting to us and we are at a life stage where we are much closer than on cashing out …. I’m 52 , regret no lt going to last time and will be waving a white flag today if in any way able !
Your statement is true and older people will take the brunt of the loss. I think age is a coincidence more than a cause. The cause is money. As you get older you gain more experience, maturity and institutional/tribal knowledge which are valuable assets to you and the company but they are hard to measure and evaluate. As you get older you also gain increased levels of compensation this is easy to measure. This whole exercise at the corporate level is cost reductions specifically a savings of $10 billion dollars in 2025. Now the bean counters come in and look at cost of each individual. I truly don't see anything more devious going on. Is this method heavily flawed and has a history of damaging the company, yes. Does it get to cost savings targets fast, yes. Intel is poorly managed so this can't really be a surprise.
