I agree with @iqn. There was a time maybe 15 years ago when a handful of oil companies would make this list, I think 1 year Chevron was #87. Now we’re #325 and no oil company is viewed well. We just don’t have the allure of tech companies.

It's a pretty good place to work. I'm an experienced hire and it's he-l out there. The best place to work is for yourself, until then it's Uncle MW

More open “collaborative” workspaces, barista coffee bars and meetings about psychological safety, oh and more emails saying we su-k while our c-suites colleagues give themselves massive bonuses.

To be fair, there were no oil companies on that list. The industry as a whole has really su-ked for the past 10 years. That said, Chevron is a shadow of its former self. I would not want to be a new grad joining this company.

Makes you wonder about the validity of the internal employees surveys since it’s been a while that Chevron has been posted as a top place to work on any external ranking.
