I don’t trust this mgmt to make any sound decisions, including and not limited to layoffs selection. They’ll go for the easiest cost-cutting, by numbers, without any idea about the long-term impact of their decisions. If they were capable of proper management, we wouldn’t be where we are now. Everybody who’s talented but older, everybody who’s pay is at least nearing their capacity and skills, everybody who can actually contribute to digging us out of the hole, get ready to leave.

Trust ur manager!
Intel is incompetent in most things.
Layoffs will be no different.
Lots of great people will be let go without a doubt. Intel has never been able to reliably identify talent.
This is the way.
Chop highly skilled, highly paid first string.
Move second string up to first level.
Back-fill with new hires in 2025.
Try not to ba-f when the kids in interview outfits show up on campus.
