@qfd+1tSISPnW: good economic analysis, for sure something to consider, but the US is also impacted by the same cr-p? A.Housing bubble, check. People can't afford anything, bills are going unpaid. Student loans are also being repackaged in the same way mortgages were in 2008 so there's another bubble for you. B.Population decline due to people not having enough kids? Check. C.Authoritarian country; the US is currently owned by AIPAC, foreign agents influencing our elections as we speak. Anti-BDS laws, etc. The police actively ki-ling BIPOC citizens and usurping most of the public funding for cop cities and armored tonka trucks. D.Outsourcing of jobs; already happened bro, and always will when a country no longer is the manufacturing center. Bottom line of it is, China will overtake the US as a leader. Or did you think the 100% tax on electric cars from China was because they su-k so much?

Intel is a very small and weak factory compared to China foundry.

So I am guessing that Chinese " 50 cent army" trolls have found this site. The reality is that China has some HUGE problems that try as their government does to cover it all up is still very much there:

A: HUGE housing bubble and collapse. Since the average citizen there doesn't trust their own banking system instead they invest in real estate. Much of that is now worthless and in many cases were nothing but unfinished apartments lacking windows, doors and interior finishes. So the collective wealth of its citizens has evaporated

B: Population. They now have an even worse problem than Japan: Not enough young people to overcome their huge, growing elderly population. That will lead to stagnation and will strain the economy

C: Xi decided to go "Mao 2.0". In other words- harden the country into a strict authoritarian state. On top of that, he has crippled their high tech industry by going after some of its more high ranking public figures. The message is clear: you WILL do what the CCP wants or else. This is going to and already is hampering the growth and advancement of their own high tech industries.

D: The growing interest in manufactures moving out of the country and to cheaper ones. Right now Vietnam is the new and rapidly growing manufacturing hub.

The 50 cent army guys will have you believe its all perfect. Its not. Far from it. And no- they are not remotely close to somehow taking over the tech industry. Not even close.

Chinas tech in general is so far behind even this won’t help them. He-l the used balloons to spy on us. Balloons! That tells you all you need to know. Their satellites and the related semiconductor based products are dog sh-t. Come on people wake up

Nah, the biggest error was outsourcing specialized knowledge.

The biggest mistake the US made was to try to isolate China. A decision based solely on racism and Gina Raimondo's wish to avenge her father losing his job to outsourcing. And no, most cutting edge companies do not fabricate in the US, nor are US companies, only Intel (1/3). Samsung: South Korea. TSMC: Taiwan. Intel: debatable that they even have an edge anymore. And yes, fabs are being constructed in the US as we speak for Intel and TSMC, but those are YEARS away (closer to 2030) from being operational, at which time SMIC will surely catch up to the leader, TSMC. Again, Intel has lost any lead, mainly due to decisions made by BK and Swan. Pat was too late to save anything.

Cope. China wins again.

Uh... No. Not by a long shot. Because there's more than one company making processors and chips with most of the cutting edge companies in the US whereas China simply mass manufactures previous generation designs.
