Guys there aren’t the same. I don’t know why everyone keeps saying they are. There is a chance you get zero … nothing… zilch ….. take the vsp and run.

  • 4 weeks + 1.5 = Same
  • 9 weeks in deployment = both cash out, but for VSP it is immediate
  • Cobra = both @ 12 months
  • Sabbatical cash out = same
  • Job hunting resources = Only with ISP

There is no 9 week transition payment for ISP. Only for VSP. Rest everything is the same

IMHO take the vsp to get a match in the job market on the folks waiting to be isp’d. intel is as dead as 8 track.

Per info shared by HR in employee sessions this week, voluntary and involuntary separation packages are identical.

Extended cobra benefit and extra payout are for the enhanced retirement package only.

That’s not true! You get less of a payout with involuntary and don’t get the COBRA benefits for a year.

CPM AP (voluntary) and CPM ISP (involuntary) are both exactly the same. Only the early retirement pkg has the enhanced severance (on top of the CPM pkgs): $20k healthcare bonus and 6 additional months (18mos total) of COBRA health insurance.
