Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

We don't look good: Lack of field resources

They laid off so many field AM, SE, PSS etc and now one person needs to cover four people's workload. No resources, slow response make us look bad.
Partners starts to look better than Cisco since they got all the resources.
And the management doesn't care!!

People say we are the people tell the customer to open a tac case, they don't know what account team is like.
Every single escalations from the customer, every single requirements from the customer, will come to us.
And now they ki-led so many resources in our team, they ki-led most of PSS, long tenured AM, and now we are in a bad position.
It isn't good in long term for sure!

My linked in is popping with LR from Cisco people. So yeah bonus for them: they get to miss the 120 degrees in Vegas heat at the end of August. (Wish I was missing it).

Used to be “global enterprise segment” GES was the 600 or so of Ciscos best customers. An account manager under Chamber’s would have 1-4 accounts. A PSS would have 10-18

MPLS made new billion dollar products.

Good Chuck, ki-led MPLS, bought the sinking titanic splunk. Fran hires for diversity and not quality. Chuck issues more stock for him and Fran and they fire quality reps and SE… now a PSS in GES has 80 accounts. Customers that used to buy 35-40 million annually are now “hunter” assigned by newly minted “Cisco certified sales person”.

Hey Chuck - you can’t fire an accomplished rep doing 100m in sales… and replace them with a college health sciences graduate you just “trained” at 1/5 their pay because they are diverse.

That doesn’t work man. You can only do that for so long.

It’s not the people, it’s not the technology, it’s the DEI culture and stock issuing id--ts at the top ki-ling the company.

C-Sat scores are a thing of the past. Who cares if a customer is happy. They have new sales person this week.

“Hi, I’m from Cisco. Just graduated with my basket weaving degree from college, but I’m diverse. I’m now trained in Cisco products. How many do you want?”

Why doesn’t that seem to bring in sales revenue? Chuck you were in Cisco sales. Now you’re a complete id--t and you ki-led a company man. Enjoy your Atlanta retirement. California didn’t want you anyways.
