Enhanced Retirement?

What happens if I don’t take the enhanced retirement? Would I be on the chopping block/first in line for IVS?

You’ll still get the enhanced. It was mentioned as an answer to a question in Fridays meeting

If you are looking at enhanced retirement, then you were around in 2016. This will be worse, and the morale aftermath will last longer this time. Go from there.

@tfz The skills assessment is done by the manager based on criterial skills identified by the organization leader. In theory it should closely tie to your Insight & OKR performance but not all managers may follow the same logic. The next level manager is supposed to review the skills assessment to remove any bias from the FLM.

That skills assessment is bullsh-t given managers are empire building and won't let go of the loyal ones.

Loyal ones are usually the low performers.

The managers protect them

@cvg How does the skills assessment work? Is there a test or is it just self/manager eval?

Yes. You are exactly first on the list

I do not think you will be automatically at the top of the list. In the past there was usually a ranking system or skills assessment done with the poor performers the ones going to the top of the list.

What’s the point of having Insights & OKRs if they don’t let go of poor performers first.

Very likely yes

Poor performers will be first on the list, everyone knows who they are. Unfortunately if there is enough voluntary and enhanced retirees then poor performers will remain. Nightmare scenario. It should have started with a round of poor performers, then voluntary , then ISP. Regardless, we are going to be stuck with poor performers because managers will not fire anyone after this to retain headcount. This is an absolute Intel execution, SNAFU

Even if you are first on the involuntary list, you’re gonna get the exact same enhanced retirement package

That would depend on the budget of your group and how many people have exited by September 30th. There’s no definite answer right now.
