Sabbatical Payouts

Info session today said that earned sabbatical does not get paid in severance. AskHR says it is, but makes some ambiguous comment about Cali and Colorado. Anybody know if banked/unused 4 week sabbatical for employees in Oregon gets paid in severance?

Sabbatical payout is taxed at 38% - 53%

Remember it’s taxed like supplementary income. That’s it, bend over.

Yes you get paid for unused sabbatical upon leave. They just won’t pay if you decided not to use it while working..some companies don’t carry leave forward year over year and pay balance of unused, Intel doesn’t pay unless you’re leaving the company!

If it does take your sabbatical. Leave after you get back.
