Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Rehireable after layoff??

Has anyone that was involved in the layoff applied for or been hired back with the company? Exit paperwork does not mention anything about not being able to but, probably not worth jumping back on the sinking ship.

Another VP leaving as well....POS R. Johnson

Most of the folks that were hired back will help the company reach it's stated goals of diversity equity and inclusion. So, unless you're a minority or a woman, I wouldn't count on being called back. The layoffs in April were diverse to avoid reverse discrimination lawsuits. Watch very carefully who they call back.

The Clifton facility has been a revolving door for years. Whether it was ITT, Exelis, Harris, or L3Harris, the place always had a number of "re-treads". Whether they were people who left for greener pastures and found out nobody wanted them, or people who were fired and found out nobody wanted them, they all came crawling back begging for another chance.
And if they had friends and family there with the right last name, they were rehired. Anybody who spent any time at Clifton knows exactly what I'm saying. But now it seems like there won't be a place to go back to. They will be outside with their faces pressed against the glass of a dark, vacant building. What will they do?
Don't be one of them. Jazz up your resume and put L3 in the rear view mirror.

Could be a good way to get a level bump or pay bump. Annual increases aren't so great. Leave and come back to a better salary.

They rehire pretty frequently. Like a turnstile here in Waco. Always has been. People leave, but they always come back. Quit, fired or laid off, doesn't seem to matter.
