If you plan to take it…

… do you tip off your GL, or keep all
In suspense until after the window closes?

I’ll be applying for retirement - but I’ll do it 1 day before the deadline. Already have 3 interviews lined to , all look positive - hope to have a new role nailed before I even push the nuclear button.

Id--ts .. all the good people are bailing …

2nd level manager here in TD. My manager/AM stated outright the GM planned to review all voluntary applications in my area with my manager. The typical "confidential, wink wink" approach to everything here. I applied, didn't and don't plan to tell my manager. Can wait to see how it all unfolds!

Nothing is confidential at intel. You have no rights and no privacy.

If many people in your group apply, not everyone will be approved. If you tell your manager and later are not approved - it will be an awkward situation. Best not to tell anyone at work.

I told my manager when I decided to take it a year ago (last June) ... he paused for a minute then said "I think I will too". And he did.
