Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Is DE actually Scrooge?

Looking at executive compensation and at the same time watching elimination of employee match for charitable giving and volunteer grants. There is zero excuse for cutting these programs. Pure greed. Bloomberg should write an article

Suggested charitable contribution formula for contributions at work (give as much as you want or can outside of work!!). All need to remember that the company uses your contributions for company publicity.
New contribution = old contribution + (0.1 * (raise % - inflation %)* salary)

Note this can be negative. Basically if your raises don’t keep up with inflation then your company contribution should drop accordingly. Why should you pay for company marketing with your salary?

Give as much or more outside of work to make up for it.

I'll bet the op has never given any money to any charity and has never volunteered for anything unless they could volunteer instead of going to work - fyi - that's not volunteering. Whether exxon matches employee donations or not, you can still give to charity, but we all know you don't donate, so quit complaining or pretend to work for someone else.
