Thread regarding Follett layoffs

There is hope

I broke free from Follett three years ago. I’d been working for stores in the northeast as a text manager and ASM for eight years. I found a new job in an organization that respects my skills, treats me well verbally, and pays a decent salary. Life is looking up. There is hope. Get your resumes updated and look elsewhere while this awful company keeps cratering. I miss working with hard workers at FHEG but not the clueless upper management. Godspeed to you all.

If you hate working for Follett, please just get out. I left years ago and it took me a long time to decompress from the toxicity of working for that company for 10+ years. They don’t care about you, and it’s never going to get better. The chances are good that you’re better than Follett deserves.

My one advice is don't get caught up on money. Make sure you can cover your fixed expenses and make changes to your other expenses. You may find a great job that pays less but your mental health will flourish. Give yourself time to take a breath...I'm sure you will see a difference and your loved ones will see a difference too.
