Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

CPM minimum

Thinking about taking CPM at 2.5 years of service as I feel good about an interview I just completed last two week. Is there a chance I get denied given my short tenure?

From what has been passed down in my org - all applications will be accepted with the only exclusions being business critical roles. Those that would bring business to a halt immediately. Which, btw, is a very small number of folks.

I am in similar situation. But slightly longer tenure. We will see. Have no idea what criteria they are going to apply for this. Funny thing is i expect the people who are charged with making these decisions, are also on the way out the door with enhanced retirement.

Only people i see saying they are going to turn down the early retirement are folks that simply won't be able to find a even remotely comparable job. The ones who can, are going to bail. This is not optimal for Intel.

Good question…is there a chance younger people are denied CPM given Intel is pushing the older folks out?
